After a series of (seriously lust-worthy) Pop Art-style creations – namely her Kellog’s-inspired bags and clutches, now mostly sold-out – Anya Hindmarch’s latest collection chooses to deal with Pop influences through a comic-strip aesthetic : a bowling bag gets covered in leather-embossed messages, alongside emoji-style smiley face, cutesy drawings and various exclamation marks. My favourite : a two-tone leather bag across which can be read « Bags have feelings too ! » – an ironical take on the ever-disposable side of the fashion industry ? Exclusive to this season, the British designer has launched an interactive « Sticker Shop », an online platform selling leather stickers created in collaboration with Charlotte Stockdale of Chaos Fashion, so that the Hindmarch touch can be extended to a variety of surfaces, from bags to purses and even electronics.
