INCREDIBLE ART

Nicolas Ouchenir for American Vintage

Parisian illustrator Nicolas Ouchenir collaborates with American Vintage on a line of t-shirts in honour of the 32nd edition of the Hyères Festival. To be worn on a terrasse in the warm sunshine…

The end of April always means the same thing for French fashion journalists: the Hyères fashion and photography festival, the annual creative rendez-vous and talent competition at the Villa Noailles, in the South of France. In honour of its 32nd edition, illustrator and calligrapher Nicolas Ouchenir – responsible for fashion week’s most beautiful invitations – traces the outline of the Villa, a creative hub for young talents founded by Marie-Laure and Charles de Noailles in 1928, for a series of t-shirts available at the festival shop and American Vintage stores.

Pushing their support of young talents even further, the brand has even created a photography prize at the festival (the founder was part of the festival jury a couple of years ago). We love’s Nicolas design, featuring the Art Deco silhouette of the beautiful Villa Noailles on the edge of the Mediterranean. We can almost feel the sunshine…
